These terms apply when you use this website or call the numbers on it. Effective date: November 3, 2026.
Plain-language summary
This Site is a referral service. Calling connects you to an independent contractor. That contractor, not this Site, does the work, gives you its terms and is responsible for it. Information here is general and may not fit your property. Nothing here replaces advice from your insurer, a building official or a lawyer. The numbered sections below are the terms that apply.
Terms
- 1. AcceptanceBy using waterdamagerestorationportcharlotte.com (the "Site") or calling a number shown on it, you accept these terms. The Site is operated by Water Damage Restoration Port Charlotte ("we", "us"). If you do not accept them, do not use the Site or call its numbers.
- 2. The referral serviceWe connect your own phone call to an independent contractor. We do not perform restoration work. Contractors are not our employees, agents or partners, and we do not supervise them.
- 3. Your dealings with contractorsAny agreement is solely between you and the contractor. We are not a party to it. Check the contractor's licence or registration and insurance yourself, for example through the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, before you agree to anything.
- 4. No guarantee of connectionContractor availability varies by ZIP code and time. We do not promise that a contractor will be available, will take on your job or will arrive at any time.
- 5. General information onlyPages on the Site are general information. They are not professional, engineering, medical, legal or insurance advice. Laws, rules and flood maps change; check them with the responsible office.
- 6. SafetyWater damage can involve electrical, structural and health hazards. If life or safety is at risk, leave the property and call 911. Do not rely on the Site for urgent safety decisions.
- 7. Calls only, and call recordingThe Site offers a call-in service only. You place each call yourself. We do not ask for permission to call, text or email you, and we do not do so. Calls may be logged and may be recorded where the law allows, and you will be told on the call if they are recorded.
- 8. Acceptable useDo not misuse the Site, interfere with its operation, scrape it in bulk, place fraudulent or harassing calls, or use it for anything unlawful.
- 9. Intellectual propertySite text, images and design belong to us or our licensors. You may read and print pages for your own use. Other reuse requires our written permission.
- 10. Third-party linksLinks to government, news and reference sites are for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.
- 11. DisclaimerThe Site and service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows, including warranties about accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- 12. Limitation of liabilityTo the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from a contractor's work, advice or failure to perform, or from reliance on Site information.
- 13. IndemnificationYou agree to hold us harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Site or your breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.
- 14. Governing lawFlorida law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes belong in the state courts located in Charlotte County, Florida, unless the law requires otherwise.
- 15. Changes and contactWe may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new date. Questions can be raised by calling the number on the Site.
